M See Creative
DSC_3773.jpg

This blog (Rural Ris) started as a way to tell the story of agriculture, and in part, it still does. It has expanded into highlighting daily life, photos, and my inward thoughts. This blog did more than expand to additional topics, it has landed me jobs, provided a platform for my work, and reached thousands across the nation. It has received laughs, amens, criticism, and at times silence. Writing is a creative outlet that allows me to document my life and thoughts, much to my mother’s delight. I also write to educate, tell the story of others, and connect with people.

While my agriculture blog turned into a full-blown career for my creative heart and the start for M. See Creative, it is, and forever will remain Rural Ris.

Behind the name:

My family and close friends have always called me Ris or Risa. I was a girl who loved her rural farming roots, so Rural Ris was born. Although often mispronounced (pronounced “rural”, not “royal”, and “riss”, not “reese”), the name still fits…at least for my blog. We’ll keep M. See Creative for the business side of things!
